Senorita of the Week: Poppy Montgomery

Foreign people sure have some funny names don’t they?  Take for example Boris, Igor, Helga, Pip, and Irina just to name a few; and you can probably come up with a few more.  This week’s Senorita has a funny name too, Poppy.  Who ever heard of a Poppy before?  Yeah, we know it’s the flower behind the inspiration of a the poem In Flanders Field.  But Ah those folks down under sure come up with some doozies don’t they?  This name is as out there as she is hot so we can’t point and laugh too much.  After all, how many hot Gertrude’s, Edith’s, Matilda’s, or Polly’s do you know?

 Poppy Montgomery

Born:  Poppy Petal Ema Elizabeth Deveraux Donahue (Yeah, Poppy Montgomery was a much better choice)
Birth date:  June 19, 1975
Place of birth:  Sydney, New South Wales, Australia
Thanks Mum and da’:  Her parents named each of their five daughters after a flower and, after a time, the name “Poppy Petal” attracted so much derision from fellow students that she left school at the age of 14. At 16, she left home to travel abroad and, at 18, she traveled to America.
Are you freaking kidding me?  Her brother is named Jethro Tull.
Not too shabby:  Named #45 on the Maxim magazine Hot 100 of 2005 list.
Most known for:  Without a Trace
Obsessed with:  Marilyn Monroe

About Shizzle

Much like his first tattoo his name was an impulse purchase and he probably should have given it more thought. He's been accused of not respecting personal space, and He's a former pimp, but sadly never won pimp of the year.
